FAQ
Why Use Ceramic Cookware ?
Dorsch Lifetime Pots and Pans are made of cast aluminum material and a multi-layer of ceramic coating (Proglider). The products are incredibly durable and coated with non-stick materials that are completely free of PFOA and APEO, making it environmentally friendly.
Here are some of the most important technologies we equip our cookware with:
- Scratch protection: Innovative reinforced surface technology for maximum strength and scratch resistance
- Durable hard anodized exterior: maximum strength, scratch-resistant construction
- Energy saving induction base: Magneto induction technology for stove performance and on all heat sources
- Fast and even heating: powerful construction for reliable cooking results
- Free of PFOA and APEO
- Excellent non-stick effect and easy to clean
- Very high temperature resistance
- Medium fire is enough to cook because of Far Infra-Red Ray Emission. this gives longer life in non-Stick
- Environmentally friendly materials
Why choose ceramic coating over Teflon?
Teflon
Teflon is a soft material and is therefore easily damaged. The coating does not withstand metal utensils as it will scratch the pot.
Ceramic
Provides smooth roasting and can withstand up to 450 ° C. They are extremely robust, durable and incredibly easy to clean if compared to steel and iron pans. Ceramic coating is the coating on the market that has the best “Non-Stick” properties. Which makes frying easy without using too much fat.
Use and Care of Ceramic Products
Before using Dorsch products for the first time, it is recommended to read the “Use & Care” guide, which is a guide on how to best maintain your cookware.
- Heating Settings
A great feature about ceramic coating is that there is no need to turn up the heat completely while preparing food. The best results are obtained by preparing the food at a low to medium heat, do use high heat if you normally do with other materials. If the heat is switched on high, the food might burn and for this reason the product can wear out faster, losing its non-stick capability time after time.
- Using Fats
We recommend using a little fat if the food does not already contain any fats.
- LifeTime Expectancy
To achieve a longer life of ceramic pots / pans, it is recommended to avoid using metal utensils or sharp objects. By using this, there is a risk of small cuts in the coating where food and oil can get stuck. Wood, silicone and nylon tools are all materials that we recommend to use for the ceramic coating.
- Cleaning and storage
It is recommended to allow the pot / pan to cool completely before washing to avoid a thermal shock. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft sponge to make sure the interior is spotless before storing. When storing, we recommend that you place a protective sheet between your pots and pans to minimize wear and tear.
What's the difference between Lifetime & Premium Products
The main difference is the touch in handles, the silicon touch on the handles for premium.
